As we are in the midst of working on adoption, we decided that a family trip of three was in order. What better place to go than Disneyland as a family. We stayed on Disneyland property and had a blast!!! Here is our trip in pictures.
As I was planning this trip, I had pictured getting a William the real "Mickey Mouse" ears; however he tolerated one picture but would not consider getting anything them at all (and yes there were tears involved).
So this is the Disney Ears we ended up with....Not a surprise at all!!!

Winter Fun (and not so fun) Activities
Just a few highlights from the first part of the year.
William's version of stacking these architectural blocks Santa got him!!!
Jumping on the trampoline at one of his friends birthday's party. Initially he was very timid but then he saw all of his friends on it and away he went.
The foam blocks were a hit at the trampoline party!
Swimming lessons at the neighborhood pool.
His first real dentist appointment. This was the only nano-second that he actually had his mouth open without crying. Hopefully better luck in 6 months!!!

What Do We Do on a Snow Day in Colorado
During the Winter of 2010-2011, Colorado Springs did not experience a typical winter. We had very little snow, but we did have quite a few frigid days (below 0). Here are a few shots of what goes on at the Wiehe's house on one snow day.
Lots of coloring
Lots of chap stick to keep the lips moist.
Shaking William's Booty to the Toddler Music Station on TV
A visit from Aunt G means lots of cuddling!!!
The most amazing thing that happened was after his nap William came down and fell asleep on the couch (this was the first time ever he actually slept on the couch). In fact when he woke up he was so disoriented he asked me why I had brought him down stairs when he was sleeping.
Then William had a puppet show his way!!!

A January full of Children's Museums
To fight off the after Christmas boredom, we explored a few Children's Museum. The first museum was down in Pueblo and Nana, Mommy and William went down one Saturday. There were the cutest sculptures outside that we had to pose with. This one fascinated William because he loved the flag. The Pueblo Children's Museum was smaller but had lots of stations to make art projects.
They had life size puppets. Initially the puppets SCARED William and he would start to scream when one would come near him....but slowly he warmed up to them and actually started to play with them.
Trying to figure out puzzles with Nana.
A few weeks later, William went with Mommy and Daddy up to Denver to visit there Children's Museum. This museum was more interactive and was packed to capacity with kids. But William didn't let that deter his fun. The first stop was the forest room that the kids could dress up like all sorts of animals.
William's choice was the squirrel. Here is the front and the back view of the costume.
The Bubble room was fascinating. This is William in action!!!
William also loved the grocery store room where they also had a ice cream counter to make pretend milkshakes. Mommy and Daddy were served the best milkshakes by William here. But the part that William enjoyed the best was cleaning up and putting the groceries back where they went. Surprise!!! Surprise!!!!
At the Veterinarian Clinic William fixed a kittens foot.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2010
Christmas this year was even more fun than last year. We were blessed to spend it with Aunt Crista, Nana, and Grandpa Teubert. The festivities started on Christmas Eve with William helping make cookies for Santa.

Family Shot
A new tradition is reading the Night Before Christmas. This year Grandpa Teubert read it to William (although some pages had to be summarized with an impatient 3 year old).

Intentionally Enjoying the Christmas Season
This Christmas season, I wanted to make sure that in the busy-ness of getting everything done we as a family didn't miss the advent season. So I typed up a list of new and traditional activities for William to do. Here are a few pictures of the Christmas fun we had.
On December 1st, William received a pair of Christmas PJ's.
William tried Egg Nog for the first time. Initially he said he like it then he gave me what he didn't drink and I gulped it down like a greedy mommy!!!
William with the help of Mommy writes a letter to Santa Claus. To see what William said in his letter, look below.
William mailed his letter to Santa at the Macy department store.
Looking at Christmas Lights. Daddy found some great houses with dancing music.
Christmas party at preschool with a homemade Santa hat.
Santa came to preschool and discussed the meaning of life with William.
William spreading the Christmas cheer with one of mommy's friends.
A cookie decorating party at Mrs. Alia's house. William consumed more frosting than he put on the cookies!!!
