Territorial Days at Old Colorado City on Memorial Day 2009

On Memorial Day Weekend, Old Colorado City has a festival called Territorial Days. It was a day full of art vendors, music, food that reminded me of North Carolina fair, and the best part for William was the train.

William would have had a great day if all we had done was ride the shuttle from parking around....... The mode of transportation was an old fashion School Bus!!!!!

Once we arrived at the festival, William's train ride was a close 2nd to the bus ride. As the train went around in circles, he smiled for the camera each time he went around (and that alone is a big feat for a 2 year old).

To top off the day was an old fashioned shoot off. William was not too sure of all the screaming and the loud shot guns, but he did find it funny when the actors would fall down.

Mother' Day

I had a fabulous Mother's Day. I of course woke up an hour before anyone else did.... I so love the freshness and the quietness that it is worth loosing an hour of sleep. Once everyone was up, Nathan made homemade French Toast and Turkey Bacon. Then it was off to church and of course Mexican for lunch. My special treat for the day was 2 hours of uninterrupeted scrapbooking time. Then lots of family time with William. We walked to the fountain park in our neighborhood that had just turned on. I often feel underprepared for this job of motherhood but I think that is where God wants to keep me. (Oh yeah my mother's day gift was a gift certificate to my knitting store....yeah on to the next project).

Springtime means bikes and trikes!!!

As the weather has been warming up, we have introduced William to many fun big boy toys that involve wheels. Anything with wheels are William's obsession right now..... So it has been a blast with these garage sales finds.

William thinks he is hot stuff in his police car.

One of the great garage sale finds has been this awesome bike seat for William. He LOVES riding with daddy each night and he helps daddy by holding down the back of his shirt during the bike rides.

Williams new "Old Fashioned" Radio Flyer Tricycle

If you look closely at his bike helmet that he picked out himself, it is covered in diggers and "Dozers".
